How do you create compelling presentations that wow your colleagues and impress your managers?
Reed Walters is a prison raised, self-taught artist, tattooist, and musician who has spent roughly 16 years of his life incarcerated. When painting, he uses acrylics and employs a variety of different styles and techniques to evoke emotion in anyone who sees his art. He enjoys painting striking images that grabs your attention when you see it. He wants to make you feel something that you weren’t feeling before you saw it.
When tattooing, he is trying to give the recipient a piece that they will be proud to wear, while at the same time aiming to give them something that will enhance the owners features and appearance.
As an aspiring sing and songwriter, Reed plays guitar and has notebooks full of completed, unrecorded tracks. He describes his sound as an indie folk/punk fusion that’s uniquely influenced by so many friendships in prison with guys of various races and cultures. As a continual work in progress, as we all are, Reed claims that his “skull is thicker than most.” When free, his music sadly has always been prioritized below old friends and bad habits.
Set up by an old cellmate, who Reed once considered like a brother to him, he is currently in on a drug case. He has one year left to do in WA before being sent to ID, which is a parole state, to do up to 15 more years there.
